You thought they were awesome recorded? Wait till you hear them live...,
This review is from: Live In Japan (Audio CD)
When I first imported this from Japan, I wondered why there was only one track. The track listing says there were eight tracks, so I thought, "what's the point of only having one"?
Until I realised that's because when they do it live, it is only one track.
This album is 45 minutes of continuous, uninterrupted, SMD glory with no pauses whatsoever. Their whole set has been woven together into a single tune beautifully, and the way they transform their songs when they perform live is simply amazing. It's more like a mixtape than a live album, there is no crowd noise and the set deatures a remix of another band's song, plus the live revamps of classics such as "Sleep Deprivation" and "It's The Beat", which, by the way, are fantastic.
All in all it's like they re-wrote their first album to be performed live, I can feel the energy from the speakers.
If you're not a fan of live albums, then give this one a try. It's totally different to any live album I've heard before.
