Easy to Use with labour saving features,
This review is from: Brother Innov-is 10 sewing machine
I bought this machine when I started dressmaking late in life. I didn't want to spend a fortune but there were some necessary features that I couldn't do without. Such as
* the automatic needle threader (yay!);
* the easy to drop-in bobbin in a see-through casing;
* not only a foot-operated engine but an alternative push-button automatic sewing option
* one-step button hole
* a good range of dressmakers' stitches - not only zig zag and straight, but blind hem, stretch, buttonhole, reinforcement and overlocking stitches.
I find that it's a dependable asset when I want to just thread up, start up, do a quick test with my materials, and get going. With the right needle and the right thread, it performs well on a wide range of fabrics, although I haven't tested it on chiffon or silk yet. It's easy to get at the gubbins to clean out the lint and fluff and.... well, it's just easy, easy, easy to master.
I'm now at the stage where I am considering upgrading from this not-so-basic beginner's machine, but I'll be keeping this one too.
