5.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS SERIES 1 ONLY!, 23 Oct. 2011
This review is from: Brush Strokes: The Complete Series One & Two (25th Anniversary Edition) [DVD] (DVD)
An excellent series and highly recommended, but please note - this is only series 1! For some reason the DVD company has taken the 13 episodes of series 1 and split them into 2 seperate series. This is mis-leading and does not make sense to break up episodes halfway through a series. The on-screen titles will state this is Series 1 & 2 but they are wrong. I remember the complete series being aired (and its repeat) several years ago. The first series contained 13 episodes. Check the internet and you will see 40 episodes were made, 5 series of which: Series 1 has 13 episodes, Series 2 has 7 episodes, Series 3 has 6 episodes, Series 4 has 6 episodes and Series 5 has 8 episodes. I hope the complete series will one day be released, in the meantime I will stick with my VHS recordings!

M. Farrall says:
The above poster is right, this is just Series One as originally aired on the BBC, I think the cofusions comes from the fact that when show a few years ago on Paramount Comedy the series was split in two halves Series 1 having 6 episodes, and Series 2 having 7, and so the second BBC series became the third Paramount series, and so on until the fifth and finaly BBC series was was aired as the sixth series on Paramount. Hope this clears it up for everyone as it seems that this is how they intend to release the DVDs, hopefully with a 3&4 series boxset and then a 5&6 series boxset.
