Not really that British,
This review is from: Jamie's Great Britain (Hardcover)
This is a beautiful book without doubt, the printing, the pictures. It is a lovely present. However may of the recipes are just not practical and he has the tendency to use unconventional ingredients such as rabbit, game and heritage vegetables.
Many recipes are just faffy and the instructions are incredibly hard to follow as they are written in prose, not step by step. I have only made two recipes from this book as this is such a major put-off. I would say this is more a book for reading to inspire you to cook, more than a recipe book for standing by a hob actually cooking.
Bonus is that there is a photo for every dish and there's so much there that is not really traditionally British, and rather more multicultural, it could suit everyone!
