Joe Bloggs says:
His voice in the '70s was different, not better than his earlier '50s & '60s voice. None of his live '70s versions of his '50s hits are a patch on the originals. His '70s voice was better suited to the power ballads and rock of the '70s than his '50s voice would have been. And that's the point. There's a trade-off between the two styles of singing, both suited to the material and the times in which they were sung. As I said, not better, just different.
