5.0 out of 5 stars The most refreshing book I have read in a long time, 24 Jan 2008
This review is from: The Shack (Hardcover)
How to reconcile a loving all-powerful God with human suffering and a lot of other questions are approached in this story in such an original and refreshing way, it changed my perception of many things. A book filled with beauty and love and full of little surprises. For me one of the best books I have read in a long time.

You have written exactly what I felt about this book, I thought the writing was awful, I was irritated and offended by it and to compare it with Pilgrims Progress was just ludicrous had the reviewer ever read Pilgrims Progress I wonder, and yet I am amazed by the number of people who I consider to be intelligent and well read gained something from it. I have got to admit that unusually for me I did skim read quite a lot of the text as I found it so appalling
