1.0 out of 5 stars The Truth Is Not Good!!, 28 Jun. 2001
This review is from: The Long Hard Road Out of Hell (Paperback)
I have read alot and have alot of Autobiographys ranging from Pop to Rock to Actors & Actress'.I don't nessesarily have to like what the person has a achieved or has produced,i just like reading about peoples life,so i would like to think that i know my stuff when it comes to Auto's.Now i am a fan of Marilyn Manson (Brillant live and Antichrist Superstar will never be topped!!) so i was looking forward to reading this book.OH DEAR! It starts off pretty good but then just seems to get boring. There is alot of stuff which is bunged in which is not relavent to the life story. Now we all know he is a very intriguing and interesting character but for christ sake he was 30 years old when he wrote this, which to me is far to young and early in his career. You could condense this book into a pamphlet for what it really tells you.If you want a good Pop/Rock read then get either David Lee Roth,Aerosmith,Marc Almond,Cher or Motley Crue...

I actually think it's a great read and have read the book several times. I think it's not bothersome he wrote the book relatively early in his life; I think it accompanies Antichrist Superstar (the music album) well, as it came out around the same time. I thought the book was fun, entertaining and interesting. It tells you about his youth and how the band came about, how they struggled and finally had their big break through.
