Fundamentalist propaganda from the States!,
This review is from: Pied Piper of Atheism: Philip Pullman and Children's Fantasy (Paperback)
Once again faith can't take a little criticism and feel they should have complete protection against criticism. Que the writing of this book!
Philip Pullman is a brilliant author and his Dark Materials Trilogy is a joy to read. Children I feel wouldn't view the book as fundamentalist followers of faith seem to. If they do see the underlying message of the horror of faith and how it can control, undermine, and cause utter sadness, along with the importance of a secular society then well done to them and what wonderful, broad minded adults they will become. I personally feel children should be taught how to think and not what to think and be given the opportunity to learn both sides.
Don't read this absolute rubbish. If you read this book especially after being offended by the Dark Materials Trilogy then I'm sure you're the kind of person who goes around looking to be offended so you can be outraged!
This book only caters to the small mindedness of people of faith and the fact they they feel they have no right to be challenged!
Carry on Phillip you're the greatest!
