This review is from: Salt [Blu-ray] [Region Free] (Blu-ray)
Salt is a bit daft, but is also a very enjoyable, very well made and well acted action thriller. Angelina Jolie is excellent and leads a very good cast, Chiwetal Ejiofer from Serenity and Inside Man and Liev Scrieber from X Men Origins: Wolverine and Defiance also both very good as they lead the hunt to capture Salt. Plenty of twists and turns and things are not entirely who or what they seem. This was originally meant to star Tom Cruise but he passed to do Knight And Day and someone somewhere had the bright idea of rewriting the character into a woman and cast Angelina Jolie instead. Hopefully this will become the start of a new movie franchise as the end strongly hints at a Salt 2. In fact, they might as well have put up a to be continued sign! This has the potential to be if not a female James Bond series, then at least a female Jason Bourne. Excellent!

John Michael O'neill says:
On the back of my dvd of Salt it clearly says 'Unlock Confidential Footage with 3 versions of the film. Original Theatrical Version + 2 Additional Extended Cuts not seen in the cinemas' Now I been to special features on the disk and I don't see no extra versions of the movie, and I put the dvd on my pc in case something popped up there, any ideas?

Mr. R. W. Graham says:
On the bluray i got this week of the film, it says the same thing, when you get to the menu, press play movie, then it should come up with options of which version of the film you want, the theatrical version, alternate version or director's cut. Not quite sure if the same thing will happen on the dvd version but it's worth a try!

The selection process on the DVD is exactly the same as the BR as quoted by Mr Graham.
