switch fell off,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Russell Hobbs 14924 1.2 L Compact Cordless Kettle in Stainless Steel Class Design (Kitchen & Home)
The kettle is good looking and the build appears robust but there's a flaw. The on-off switch on the kettle I bought lasted just over six months before it broke off. Oddly enough, when I ordered the kettle the first one I received arrived in its box with the on-off switch sheared off and rattling around inside. Perhaps that should have been a warning. Disappointing.

Russell Hobbs kettle model no 14928
I too had the on/off switch fall off. One of the lugs that hold it in position had broken. When I tried to order a replacement part I found the company most unhelpful. I was told it was impossible to provide a switch because it was integral in the manufacture and they could not fall off in normal use My only remedy was to send the kettle back for inspection. I was made to feel that I was being untruthful and trying something on. So much for customer service!
I too will never buy a Russell Hobbs a Russell Hobbs product again
