Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Little Black Book of Chicago, 2011 Edition (Travel Guide) (Hardcover)
I bought this book after reading the other favourable reviews but I am unimpressed. There are few illustrations and it's not easy to find your way around the book. I'm not sure why they have chosen to arrange the book by district but this doesn't seem to work well. As a tourist I want to know which are the best restaurants, the most interesting museums, the prettiest parks etc regardless of which district they are in. And I am baffled as to why the book shows the hotel we will be staying in - the Hyatt Regency - in completely the wrong place. They have it in McCormick Place rather than East Wacker Drive. I suppose the hotel could have moved to a new property since the book was published but there's no indication on its website to that effect. This inaccuracy makes me wary of everything else in the book.
