Purchased the Panasonic ES-LV61 to replace a Remington F7790 shaver - This new Panasonic shaver is fantastic - very close shave, very efficient cut, so dont have to go over the same area multiple times. The shaver head is large than other shavers from Remington and Braun. This concerned me, but in use there is no issue and it shaves under the nose and next to the ear without any problem.

The charge time is 1 hour and seems to provide 45-50 mins of actual shaving. One real advantage of this Panasonic is the linear motor, which seems to have the same cutter performance from the fully charged shaver to a nearly discharged shaver - with other shavers I have had, the performance always declined as the charge decreased.

Minor items to watch out for is the power switch - you have to keep your thumb away from this switch to prevent it being pressed while shaving - pressing this button for more than two seconds puts it into 'cleaning mode' - since I am aware of this now, it's not a problem in actual use.

When a 'full' clean is carried out on the shaver you have to remember to use a few drops of oil on the cutters - I understand that if you cant find the Panasonic oil, then a drop or two of sewing machine oil will work just as well.

The replacement foils and cutters do seem to be more expensive that form other brands - however according to Panasonic the foil only needs to be changed once a year and the cutter once every two years, so not so bad.

Overall I would say that this is the best electric shaver I have ever owned - in the past I have owned Braun, Philips, and three different Remingtons. The build of the Panasonic is very good, the feel and weight make it very comfortable to hold when using it
