a bit of balance,
This review is from: Empress (Godspeaker Trilogy) (Mass Market Paperback)
I disagree strongly with the one star reviewer. This is a good well written adventure - it roars along with short clipped language that emphasises the desert landscape. We see how the main protagonist's early life forms her. She is hard to like, but is she evil or an instrument of her god? I could not tell, but enjoyed trying to work out whether I thought she was evil. Like all good fantsy there is more going on in this than meets the eye.
There are faults. Does everyone have to say "Aieee!"
