This is feasting taken to a whole new level. The focus is on creative and spectacular ideas for parties and also includes recipes and a very enjoyable chapter on feasts throughout history. Some of the more extreme ideas include tabletop fireworks and serving a cigarette course after a meal - yet the book is a great inspiration for any feast, dinner or birthday party. Recipes for Snails En Attelet and Chewing Gum are fascinating to read but nothing that I would attempt myself. But here are also recipes that I'd love to serve such as Smoked Eel, Celeriac Remoulade and Oatcake; Glitter Ham; and Cieftain Pancakes. The photography in the book is amazing and the design and production of high quality.
