This review is from: Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell (Hardcover)I read snippits of this book in The Sun newspaper and decided to purchase the full version.
Whilst some of the stories portrayed are just too bizarre to be believed, you do get an insight into the mindset of Cowell. His mannerisms which evolved due to fame and fortune and the difficult times he went through to get to the stardom he now has.
I would take the content with a pinch of salt as much of it, I am sure, would not be admitted by Simon and is therefore not 100% reliable. However, that said, a great and entertaining read well worth a few quid.

I did the same- read it in the Sun etc. I have bought every book Bower has written and he doesn't lack for research and accuracy. When he gets sued, it usually some Maxwell-type trying to bully him and his publisher. Conrad Black has huffed and puffed a lot, but the only person Bower has baulked at is of Russian origin - no names here. They kill people who piss them off, as we all know.
I don't think Cowell will suffer unduly from anything Bower has written. Bower writes well and I was entertained for the evening it took me to read. I get the impression that Bower enjoyed dealing with him - but of course charm is one of Bower's techniques!
If you read this Tom, say Hi to Veronica!
