The great man stumbles,
This review is from: Captains Courageous (Penguin Classics) (Paperback)
I have always had time for Kipling; a great writer. However, this novel left me feeling "here's a great short story, but when is it going to end". The idea is interesting, as are some of the characters, but both are under-developed to the point were the idea can be summed up in two lines, and the characters in one. Insubstantial, and to a large extent disappointing.
