This review is from: Motorola Defy with Motoblur Sim Free Android Smartphone - Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Fifth month as an owner of this phone, I am really glad I didn't follow the crowds towards Apple or HTC (not that they are bad products!). The Motorola Defy is a great phone - excellent usability (very responsive, accurate touchscreen), good voice quality (you can choose the quality level), standard Android integration with Gmail and other Google applications (navigation, maps etc) and reasonably good integration with Facebook/Twitter/Others... The camera isn't the best I have ever used, but I do use a standalone camera for most of my photography so not a major niggle for me. Typing is a breeze with Swype (a boon for fat fingered people like me who otherwise would need a gargantuan touchscreen to type accurately!) and I can connect it to my PC with the supplied USB cable or through Wifi in order to shift files, manage contacts, history etc.
Android 2.1 is potentially a concern for some people but I personally have not been hampered by it - the phone has an app for Youtube as well, and it works.
The tough Gorilla glass has survived two young children till now - not something my other phones have done with anywhere near similar grace!
All in all, great phone and I'm happy with it.
