This review is from: Sennheiser HD 202 Closed Back On-Ear Stereo Headphone (Electronics)
Got these headphones to replace some sony earphones. They were good earphones, but the difference between the quality of those and the sennheiser headphones is incredible!
You can hear bass mid and treble very clearly and I constantly notice things in songs I couldn't hear with other headphones, they constantly surprise me with their quality.
I've used these very regularly for over 2 years, they've been constantly on the move, shoved into bags, suitcases, car boots, even had a small filing cabinet accidently dropped on them, without even a scratch or slight drop in quality.
Perfect for everyday use, and very handy on long haul flights as movies and music can be heard a lot more clearly, and they block out enough noise to help you sleep even if nothing's playing! Only complaints are that the cable can become annoying as it's very long but as mentioned in another review, they are available with cable winders, and also I have had some slight ear-ache after about 5 hours of continuous use, but the incredible sound quality and buildquality more than make up for these minor defects. Five stars, fully recommend for music, TV, flights, great value!

considering the size of the cable and headphone tidy and that it could get lost or very annoying, quite easily, do you think these would still be a good upgrade from my old skull candy's, for general use?
also, how big (roughly) is the tidier?
thanks a lot!

Well to be honest with you, I don't have a set with a cable tidy, and it was a long time ago that I actually saw one! As far as I remember though it was maybe 4-5 inches long, a little bulky but for walking while listening probably preferable to curling up the cable in your pocket like I do, tohugh I've been doing that for so long it doesn't bother me at all. If this would really bother you then maybe some more skull candys with their shorter cables would be better, but what I really like is that I can walk around town with them but then at home the long cable means I can move around my room without having to remove the headphones. In terms of sound quality I think these match the skulls, I did compare with a friend of mine who has some; they have slightly different sounds, we agreed they were both good, it was just a case of what we were used to. Another thing I do like about the sennheisers though (I'm not sure which other headphones have similar mechanisms) is that the headphones pop out from the headband when stressed (like when they're shoved in a suitcase), so they don't snap and you can just pop them back in. So yeah, longer cable can be annoying but it's also more versatile, I'd say they'd be a good replacement but can't comment in depth on the cable tidy
