Stick with it,
This review is from: Fitbit One Wireless Activity and Sleep Tracker (Sports)
I used to do a lot of running and got quite fit but I had some injuries and an operation that meant I've just been feeling sorry for myself and getting fat. I got this and at first couldn't really see the point - so I did 8,000 steps, so what? But by trying to achieve the challenges I have become much more active and actually they get quite hard. Walking up 50 flights of stairs a day is a lot harder than 10 flights of stairs a day, and over a week or month adds up. Similarly with the Premium subscription I can log anything - I log alcohol units and diet cokes! I knew I drank a lot but didn't realise how much.. so I can see that if I just halve my alcohol consumption I will save almost a day's worth of calories each week. I have the aria scale though so I hop on that each day and hopefully watch my weight go down.
There aren't really any cons to the product, but I wish they would do more with the buzzer - steal some ideas from the jawbone like buzzing when you've not moved for a certain amount of time. Why not make the buzzer a customisable feature of its own? "Buzz me when I..."
Anyway this is a good product - I hope fitbit stick a GPS in one soon, and make it waterproof. That would be hard for the competition to respond to.
EDIT: Fitbit have the best customer service ever.
