An addictive Tale of Sadness,

This review is from: Title: Blackbird A Childhood Lost and Found (Audio Cassette)
Jennifer's story is harrowing at times, but you can't help wanting to know more about what happened to her! It was a gripping tale of someone who neve seemed to have had a childhood, thrust into doing things for her mother only an adult should. Her Fairytale bedroom give to her Father seemed like some oxymoron, as her ' wicked' stepmother sent her and this bedroom furniture to a religious cult for her to work for her keep and of course get her out the way. She should have been the most mixed up child, a psychologists dream client. When her Aunt and Uncle find her by chance after Debs , thw wocked Step mom had taken her back, you are waiting for the next installment : will they get her back and take here home? Or will the step mom win and keep her and treat here even more like dirt? It had me on my seat at that point and I honestly thought I was going to get a happy ending then suddenly it is taken from you! My only 'dislike' is simply this : I wanted to know more about Jennifer/ Juniper, the tape ends as she climbs on board a buss for Reno, but what happened next? We haven't even enetered teenage years and this child has lived a life many at 80 would not have seen! I want to know more! I know Jennifer Lauk has a book deal for the next installment but did it all have to end as a abruptly? And when is the next book out?
