Having read this authors previous two books about the Faerie/Sidhe which were well researched, well written and utterly believable this book came as somewhat of an anti-climax.
The storyline is about a girl called Grace who as an infant is nearly taken by wolves until a yellow eyed one stops the pack from killing her. She also finds herself under his protection. As she grows up she finds she has become obsessed with this particular animal and detaches herself from her friends and classmates as she becomes more and more obsessed with watching him through her window.
This is basically a Werewolf story but not the slash and gore type. It is written much better than that and really tells of a love that cannot be because as the weather grows colder, Sam (the Werewolf) finds it harder and harder to stay in his human form.
A rather sad and melancholic story but one that will appeal if you like this genre.
