Great signal, slightly tricky to set up,
This review is from: Datel Direct WiFi Max (PSP) (Video Game)
The WiFi Max is a brilliant way to get the internet on your PSP or DS. I'd read some of the Amazon reviews and was a bit worried by the comments which said the Max was difficult to set up. And in truth, it wasn't as straight-forward as you would expect. But once it is up and running, it's hard to fault it, particularly at this price. After getting it to work, I pottered around the house and into the garden and I was amazed to find it worked in all locations. So it does what it says it's going to do and to that end, I'm more than happy.
One thing the instructions don't mention is unfortunately one of the most crucial elements. In order for your PSP or DS to access the Internet through your PC's Internet connection, you must ensure that your connection is set to be `shared' by Windows. Windows XP users need to go to `Control Panel' then `Network Connections'.
Where you see your Internet connection listed (which may be listed as a USB Modem or Network adapter) you need to right click it and choose `Properties'. On the `Advanced' tab, you should see the `Sharing' option. Tick the box accompanying `Share this Internet Connection'. I got this information from Datel's website but it should be included in the package.
