Well worth watching if you saw the original series but I doubt it will be of much interest to anyone who has been brought up on a diet of spy series which are slicker, have bigger budgets for action sequences and (sadly) are dumbed down on the political front. Personally, I think Russel Hunter as Lonely absolutely steals the entire series as Edward Woodward has a capacity to overact, imho. That said, I think Woodward hits his stride after a few episodes and in contradicition to his actual character his best acting is when he adopts a different persona to inveigle his way into situations. This is where his skill as an actor shines through. One thing that is a refreshing is the total lack of political correctness. Women in mini skirts and largely there for window dressing, lots of references to how we won the war and the pride in doing so and the general theme that all foreigners (especially Arabs and Russians) are untrustworthy. Worth the price just to be reminded how things were before TV was constrained by the inverted truths of the thought police that control our airtime now. Much better now, isn't it?
