Poor quality wool, poor quality instructions,
This review is from: The Crochet Book (Tin with book and project) (Hardcover)
My mother bought this tin at a craft evening. She's an experienced crocheter, and she's struggled with the very unclear instructions. There are a lot of complaints online about the quality of the wool and the quantity, which often doesn't seem to be enough to complete the project.
The vagueness of the instructions for completing the project is completely inexcusable for something that is aimed at beginner crocheters - they should be absolutely step-by-step and clearly explained.
I have my doubts about the independence of some of the reviews posted here which are so overwhelmingly positive, particularly those which say that they had never crocheted before and yet completed this project. Of three people attending the evening, only one has been able to complete the project, and that's with guess work.
We were very disappointed, both by the quality of the wool and the instructions. We expected better from somethind which is branded Cath Kidston.
