Great for nostalgia but the AI is atrocious,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Carrier Command: Gaea Mission (PC DVD) (DVD-ROM)
I played the original carrier command round a friends house on the Atari ST all those years ago, I bought this sequal based on the five minutes I had with the original game all those years ago because I loved the idea of a carrier and controlling multiple vehicles at the same time. And at this the game does very well, graphics are ok (they aren't as good as bleeding edge titles but they are at least as good as something like farcry). Whats very annoying is that the AI is pretty atrocious, which can leed to vehicles getting killed for no other reason than they got confused and dithered.
I still like the game and the basic premise is great.. but this could have been so much better. The campaign does open with a First person shootey bit which was pretty bad, mouse sensitivity is terrible and I had to adjust this on my mouse itself and aim doesn't seem to be that important.. still its not the main game and its nice to have a good intro.
All in all I am not disappointed but I am not wowed..

Just Jon says:
Check out a game called Hostile Waters. It's a few years sold now but if it is fantastic. No AI issues there! It's probably on Youtube.
