5.0 out of 5 stars Sennheiser PMX70, 28 Dec. 2006
This review is from: Sennheiser PMX70 - Sportline Stereo Neckband Headphones (Electronics)
I purchased these for running with after I got fed up with my toxic ear sweat destroying all my headphones. I am not blessed with tiny ear canals so the bud type ear peices fall out so I use the neckband type. With other headphones I would randomly lose volume in one ear peice and sometimes both. On other occasions it would sound like I am listening to the house stereo whilst submerged in the bath.

These headphones are A1+ I have run about 120 miles in them so far ranging from a 4 mile fast run to a slower paced 10 miler as well as interval training. As with most neckbands they can rub on the collar of a jacket a little bit and looking over my shoulder before running across a road junction can slightly dislodge them but this is only a very minor issue. They are extremely comfortable and feel quite light, the ear peice has a rubber boot and once on I don't feel the need to re-adjust. The cable length is excellent as is the cable quality. It's not a cheap cable and is surprising flexible and comes with a clothing clip. The bass and sound quality is excellent and the ear peice actually cuts out quite a bit of background noise - fortunately I can still hear the traffic when road running. I was a bit put off by the green that Sennheiser have opted for but it's much worse in the online images, the actual real life colour isn't bad at all. So far I have had no loss of sound whatsoever. I'd definately recommend them. I don't normally lodge online reviews but I thought these deserved it.

They just died :( I have sound in the right ear but none in the left. The ear bud mesh is showing signs of corrosion. They had a good innings, the best of anything I've had before. Will replace like with like.

It seems nobody has yet invented headphones which can withstand sweat! I guess you have been using these for about 3 months which is a little longer than I've had from other brands. Thanks for the review.

In case you didn't get a reply from Craig. I've used these headphones for years. They're great and, yes, they work with the iPhone (although they do not of course have a volume control - you have to vary the volume directly on the iPhone screen).
