not bad but expected better,
This review is from: Dreaming of a Stranger (Paperback)I had been looking forward to reading this latest from Sheila O'Flannagan, but to be honest I was a bit disappointed in it. I've read practically all her previous work and enjoyed all of them. However this book felt rather 'bitty' at times - it's set over quite a lengthy period of time which I felt took away from the story a bit. It doesn't seem to get the chance to settle into a steady rhythm and let the plot build steadily. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the book, but I felt that this particular author could have done better, based on her past works.
But after all, mine is only one opinion! I don't want to put fans of the author off reading this, the only way you're going to know if it's good or not is read it for yourself.
