Smooth writing gel pens in beautiful colours,
This review is from: Set 0.5 LJU120EF-12C 12 color gel pen pilot juice (japan import) (Office Product)
If you have heard of the Pilot Hi-Tec C Coleto gel pen then you will have inevitably heard of the Pilot Juice range. These Juice pens have a good amount of ink in them making them much more economically viable than the ludicrously small amount of ink you get in the Coleto refills. To me, the Coleto is like carrying about a sample of inks whereas the Juice is actually the full-sized pen. Additionally, the Juice pens have a much smoother writing experience compared to the Coleto which can be scratchy and carry a lot of feedback. The Juice pens have a good ink-to-nib system flow meaning that in my experience, I have never experienced blobbing, overflowing, lack of ink flow or ink skipping whilst using these pens. I have also say that is true of the Coleto.
The colours are just beautiful if you love colour or you are a 'filofaxer', 'scrapbooker' or 'project lifer' you will LOVE these for adding a bit of fun and pizazz to your books. For filofax/planner fans, these pens do not bleed through filofax paper but some of the darker colours may cause a shadow on the other side. For those of you using thicker papers such as those that come with Kate Spade planners and daytimers, these pens don't shadow or bleed on good quality paper.
For a gel pen the dry time is remarkably quick and the pen produces nice clear, sharp lines. The lid clips are actually like little clips rather than like the ones that you find on the Lamy or ordinary Bic pens. This makes it easier to attach these pens to organiser pen holders, books, papers and provides additional security if clipped to a shirt. The colours are vibrant and attractive. The only disappointment is that the Apricot Orange is a different colour in this range to that of the Coleto which is the most beautiful shade of orange I've ever seen. Altogether these pens are well worth the money IMO, nice to hold (the barrel has a gel grip), nice to use and good value for money. Obviously it being gel ink it will run out quicker than biro or other types of dryer ink but for the money they are worth it if you enjoy and like stationery.
