This review is from: Alternatives to Economic Globalisation - A Better World is Possible (Paperback)
The nineteen co-authors of this excellent report issue a timely and robust wake-up call to all those who consider economic globalization to be a positive, inevitable and irreversible process. This compassionately and coherently argued work illustrates the extent to which a tiny rich and powerful corporate elite have pulled the wool over the eyes of the rest of us in successfully peddling a corporate model of global trade built on the poverty and suffering of a large majority of the world's people. The writers, able to tap a rich collective resource of relevant knowledge and experience, not only reveal the injustices of the current status quo but also outline a comprehensive alternative vision of a far more just and sustainable world, one that is hard to fault. This purchase makes an excellent complement to George Monbiot's equally insightful Age of Consent. Prepare to be both informed and inspired to campaign for a fairer world!
