Crash Bang Wallop !,
This review is from: The Woods (Hardcover)WOW
I'm a huge Harlan Coben fan this was the thirteenth of his novels I have read and quite simply why go looking for something else to read until you have completed his impressive back catalogue.
WHy why why Hollywood has not been beating down Coben's door I honestly have no idea but I think like Grisham it will only take someone to have a hit movie with any one of his books and the rest will fast follow.
For me this is right up there among the best of his novels.
There's so much going on the central story as you will now from the synopsis
Four teenagers enter the woods of a summer camp late one night none are seen again we pick up the story 20 years later with Paul Copeland a young prosecutor forced to confront his past. His sister was one of those teenagers her body never discovered and suddenly after all this time secrets are starting to be revealed ghosts are being stirred and new lives threatened.
A reward for loyal fans with cameos of characters from previous novels including the delicious Cingle Shaker and Loren Muse.
With so many twists I defy anyone to say they could predict the ending
In the midst of all this Coben manges to write about a court rape trial that had that been the central story would have been good enough for a lesser writer but we are talking about the true king of the thriller genre forget james Patterson or even Dan Brown with this enormous uppercut of a novel Harlan Coben is the undisputed thriller writing champion of the world.
