The Workings of WW1 Military Tactics,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: An Officer's Manual of the Western Front 1914-1918 (Hardcover)
This is an excellent book, for WW1 history students or those interested in miltary studies. It reveals the tactics and training for infantry officers and their men and explains how those developed as the war rolled on. Also given are diagrams and descriptions of how the military engineering of field arrangements (trenches, redoubts, artillery positions, etc.) were designed, built and maintained.
Terminology and thinking has changed in the past century but this little book really helps understand the thinking, planning and training that our grandfathers and great grandfathers gained in their service.
