Soo delicious.. and the recipes are good too!,
This review is from: The French Kitchen: A Cookbook (Hardcover)
Ok I admit it. I am unashamedly a Joann Harris fan. I bought the book because her work is so incredibly tempting and enticing that I could not help myself. And I was not disappointed. This 'cook book' is a wonderful combination of recipes handed down from generation to generation, of memories evoked through smell and experience... It actually forced me to create one of the recipes, 'Coq au Vin', from scratch. And I enjoyed every moment of it. I wasn't following a recipe but living a story, creating a memory.
This is the first cookery book I have ever bought. This is the first cookery book I have ever read from cover to cover. This is the first cookery book where I am eagerly looking forward to trying the next meal. And the most amazing thing?
I hate cooking!
