when will this slew of unoriginal indie-rock bands end!,
This review is from: Not Accepted Anywhere (Audio CD)
Rehashing old ideas in an unimaginative way. Passable verses building up to weak, obvious, dissapointing (and irritating) choruses. The weakest back-up sceaming I've heard in a long time, if the keyboard wants to join the 'Blood Brothers' he's going to have to try and push his vocal chords a little harder (don't be scared of getting a sore throat you'll be alright).
There's something so odd about this band, they look like shouldn't be in a band together and can't seem to make up their mind on what kind of music they want to play, and unfortunately that's not in a genre busting exciting way, it really lacks the conviction and imagination to capitalise on their mish-mash of genres and influences.
All I hear in this record is indecisive, predictable indie pop.
I'm very dissapointed after being fed reviews indicating that something original was coming out of the mainstream indie rock scene in this country for a change. Looks like it's back to the drawing board once again. Sorry lads!
