This review is from: Philips Imageo 7007631PU 1.5 Watt Plastic Tea Light Set, White (Kitchen & Home)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I would love to be able to review these candles on their light generating merits but unfortunately I can't for one simple reason - they don't work unless plugged in.

I know that's not how they're supposed to work but no matter how much I charge them, they just refuse to turn on when not connected to the mains. Sort of kills the candlelight mood when you have an electricity wire protruding out of the back of the casing. Fail.

When the lights are plugged in and turned on they look okay but not as good as the full length set. I agree with other reviewers that they look a little cheap and the light effect isn't as real as on other candles. The other problem is that, since they're shorter, you can more easily look down into the case and see the cheap round base at the bottom with the light sticking out of it.

All in all, a poor effort from Philips.

This happened to me at first. Try this as it worked for me:
- when still plugged in turn them on
-keep them on while you disconnect the cables
They should now turn on and off without cables connected

It's unusual for these not to work but always bound to be a few duds.

Good point about seeing the light base in the case and highlights even more their cheapness. You're pay over 7 each for these! Crazy.
