This review is from: Rachel Allen RA-GB1 700W Glass Jar Blender (Kitchen & Home)
I had a fantastic Moulinex blender that sadly died, and when I came to replace it I found it very hard to find a reasonably priced blender with a glass jug (why are they all plastic these days?!), but this one seemed alright and I needed to buy something.
It does the job but it doesn't do it brilliantly. I tend to make soup and it's never as smooth as I would like.
The blades are a bit pathetic, they're very small and not angled sufficiently to cut through everything.
I have to put it on maximum to get it to move all of the liquid and the instructions advise you only run it for 20 seconds at a time, letting it 'rest' in between, which is just a bit lame! It also tends to smell a little funny when it's running.
It does, however, have a very good assembly which is quick to take apart for cleaning - with a removeable blade, a feature I find vital to ensure it does actually get cleaned properly!
I'm in search of something a bit more powerful, so may fork out for a Kenwood kMix.
