Sorry, you'll have to buy your own copy,
This review is from: Mac OS X Version 10.2 Jaguar Little Black Book: Jaguar Edition (Little Black Books (Paraglyph Press)) (Paperback)
This book is very well thought out and written to be easily understood, whether you only dip in when you need help or read it from front to back. A number of techniques - thumbable chapter headings on the edge of every page, Notes, Tips, Related Solutions (saving visits to the contents or index) - all make this book a joy to refer to.
What prompted me to buy the book? Being a Mac user of many years, suddenly things don't behave as expected, or they've moved, or gone, making me less productive and mildy frustrated. Once upon a time I read a book like this on OS 7 and learnt so much I became a 'power user' almost overnight. This book is just as helpful with OS X v 10.2. It leaves nothing unexplored, although it was written before iLife and Safari arrived.
The only unhelpful thing is this book has been published in the printing equivalent of a beta copy: it's not until Chapter 4 that the diagrams match their comments (they're out of step by one); Related Solution boxes pointing to the wrong page; "[insert related solution????]" and "rÈsumÈ" in the text shows that the book isn't quite finished. Either that or the proof reader should be fired.
Despite the glitches, if you asked to borrow my copy I'd say, "Sorry, mine's in constant use; you'll have to buy your own copy."
