First - why not five stars? Because too many use the holding back "truths" device to drive and plot a story. I don't get it. Why is it so many use that as the angst that stands between a couple on the way to their happily ever after. It drives me nuts. I love stories where you cannot by any means predict where it's going and what's to happen.
However, having said the above, I still enjoyed this wonderful story that reminded me kind of my boy Boris Becker - who we all know loves the ladies, especially dark women. So, with him in mind I read this and really enjoyed it once I walked around the overly used device of "You lied to me!" Uggggh! Enough of that one already. Also, considering how long the book was, she treated the ending like a quick slam drive... done! It seemed that I was set up feeling that there was a bit more to come only to find that I was at the end.
Should you buy it? Absolutely!
Will you enjoy it? Oh yeah...
Is it a re-read? Hmmm - ain't too sure about that one. Usually if I can re-read a novel, that automatically gives it four. I don't see me reading this one again. So why the 4 stars - it made me smile, a few times even when it flustered me. It would have gotten five if not for the device and that I won't read it once more.
