Rubble Strikes Gold!,
This review is from: The Rubble Collection Vol.11-20 (Audio CD)
Back in the 80's when I was a young clueless mod I was sick of all the contemporary mod bands and bludgeoned by my cohorts 60's garage music Bam Caruso came to my rescue with their brilliant "Rubble" comp LP series. This series opened my ears to a slew of new bands and deepened my already bourgeoning taste for psychedelia and freakbeat.
Fast forward to the 21st century and I don't get the time I once had to sit down and play LP's, fortunately the "Rubble" series are reissued on CD in these great box sets (get the first one!) so I can play them in my car or upload them to my iPod, and best of all I can now own a few of the latter "Rubble" volumes that slipped through my grasp! Like the original LP's these come with a wealth of photos, discographies and facts about all the artists contained. If you are a fan of U.K. 60's beat/freakbeat/psych and pop you're missing out if you don't own these!
