Lionel Shriver is known to have strong views on nutrition and lifestyle and this book seems to be a vehicle to deliver her message in a fictionalised form. The narrative seems to take second place to the lecture. The plot is muddled, the language florid and some of the situations so far fetched and unlikely that it seems lazy to have written them down.
The sections about being children of a tv actor are good, perhaps because they serve the story not the message?
