This review is from: Hybrid Prints (Printmaking Handbooks) (Paperback)
I had this book on my wish list for months and was put off buying it by the review by M Fishpool. If it is the author, naughty naughty. If it isn't it still looks like someone bigging up their own book.
Finally decided just to buy it. Very disappointed. I was hoping for ideas about what combinations of print methods worked well together, what order to print in and pitfalls in mixing techniques. I didn't feel it really delivered. The book hits a funny level in a lot of the discussion and definitions where if you know anything at all about the particular topic nothing is added and if its totally new to you it doesn't say enough to make you any the wiser.
If you are on a tight budget and looking for a good value 'how to' book look elsewhere, many books on printing will give you as much practical help and inspirarion. If you are looking for another printing book to add to you bookshelf and already have a lot of the ones Amazon sell it is a bit different with some interesting illustrations.
