A few flaws, but no show stoppers.,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I approached the purchase of this phone with trepidation. It seemed almost too cheap, there had to be a catch.
I bit the bullet, and bought it. Delivery was stated at around a month, and a delivery date of 2nd Oct was given. Much to my surprise it actually arrived on 10th Sept, well packaged and via air mail. Nice.
So, to the phone. Looks similar to a Galaxy S4, same size, similar controls, but no IR port, which I'd never use. Comes with a spare battery, charger and adaptor, headphones and a spare cover.
Feels reasonably robust, certainly similar to to an S4.
I put a SIM and 16GB sandisk memory card in, and off I went. As a phone it works exactly as it should, and the card was recognised properly. As a phone, 10 out of 10.
The non-phone bits are also good, installed the apps I wanted with no fuss or bother. Seems to be a pretty vanilla Android installation - not that I'm an expert - though some of the defaults need to be reset from a Chinese centric to UK standard. A couple of minutes. 10 out of 10.
So far, pretty impressive. This is a well constructed, properly functioning smartphone.
The screen is fine, though not as sharp or clear as an S4. Perfectly acceptable, though. 8 out of 10
The video camera is good, clear sharp and free from blurring. The still camera is 12MP, it says. If it is, they are unfit pixels! The end result is OK, but not great. The rear facing camera seems fine, but I haven't really used it. 5 out of 10
Battery life seem to last a day with some heavy use, but the supplied 2nd battery provides reassurance.
The weakest aspect is the built in speakers, tinny, little volume and distorted, just about adequate for hands free phone use, and bad for music, etc. Not a problem for me. 2 out of 10
Overall, it is like a slightly dumbed down S4, a competent phone, does what it says without issues. 8 out of 10.
Factor in the price, and it is excellent, good function at a modest price. If you are expecting an S4 clone, you will probably be disappointed. If you expect a competent new smartphone that performs well, You'll be happy. If you bear this in mind, it has to be a 5 star rating.

I just ordered one. when I plug my laptop with a USB cable to the mobile, it doesn't go into USB Storage mode but jumps around from screen to screen and changing settings like turning on airplane mode and bluetooth. Did you experience this or have you tried plugging in the USB cable to the phone using a PC? I'm using Windows 7.

Colin Boothroyd says:
Mine works fine plugged into a W7 PC. That said, it doesn't seem to like cheap usb cables, it doesn't seem to charge properly. Not had the symptoms you describe, though.
Give it a try with a good quality cable you know works.

Thanks for checking.
I tried the cable that came with the mobile and it worked fine.
