What to expect:,
This review is from: Ben Folds: Songs for Silverman (Paperback)This is well transcribed from the piano on record, and hasn't been mutilated to put the vocal tune in the top hand of the piano. There are a few mistakes in the lyrics printed, but nothing too major. Unlike some Folds transcriptions, the Bass Guitar part hasn't been inserted into the left hand of the piano, so if you want to perform any of these songs with a full band you'll have to find an alterative source for bass tabs.
At a guess most of the songs should be within reach for people of about grade 6 standard and above. Folds' frequent use of off-beat syncopated rhythms makes for complicated-looking music, but most of it isn't nearly as hard as it looks once you figure out the beats.
All in all a good purchase for anyone who likes Ben Folds and can play the piano decently!
