Thea's THIRD album is an excellent progression.,
This review is from: Rules for Jokers (Audio CD)
Thea yet again manages to sound fresh and new whilst retaining her much loved musical style and quick & cutting wit.
Moving on from Burning Dorothy (thea's FIRST album) and The Lipstick Conspiracies (thea's SECOND album), Thea is back displaying even more maturity and wisdom. Her wit has developed further and her sense of the world seems to have improved.
This outing is a little more acoustic than The Lipstick Conspiracies but still contains as much if not more lyrical and musical venom.
Thea is someone with a very astute social awareness and musical ear.
I assure anyone who is in two minds about buying Rules for Jokers, that it is an album you will not regret buying.
