Utter junk! Don't buy this with GlandSlam Tennis!,
This review is from: Nintendo Wii Motion Plus Accessory - White (Wii) (Accessory)
Firstly, let me start by saying that Grandslam Tennis is an excellent game on the Wii. After buying it, I ordered a Wii Motion Plus adaptor for my Wiimote, and it's turned the game into one of the most frustrating experiences possible!
Yes, the onscreen character follows your motions one-to-one - you raise your racket, and so does the character. However, that's where the similarity ends. The whole Motion Plus effect seems completely random. Some times the ball goes where you aimed it, but more often than not, you either do an air shot (when you haven't even swung) or your character doesn't even swing the racket.
Before anyone asks, yes, everything was fine before I plugged in Motion Plus, and I can quite easily beat the computer without it, and yes, I do play "real life" tennis, so I know it's not me. Just seems as though this doesn't actually work correctly with this game, and it certainly takes away from what is a good game without Motion Plus.
You have been warned - I've just smashed a Wiimote in frustration!!!

just because it doesnt work with 1 of your games doesnt mean to say it warrants a bad review

Having played the grandslam tennis with and without the motionplus I can confidently say your completly wrong, there is a clear improvement in accuracy with the motionplus although its not perfect its a definate step forward and works well with this good game.

Ummm, yes it does... Based on the games available so far, this deserves 2 out of 5, tops. It's an ugly afterthought that should have beein integrated into the controller from day one.

it would seem we all need to be professional tennis players already, to fully enjoy motion plus on this game...
well said Grey'um - nintendo realised they made a crap controller and are trying to diguise it with this 'neat' waste of money. should be free, then maybe reviews would be that bit more favourable!!

I got the resort game on Friday (with free motion plus) and thought it was just me! The motion plus sometime acts at random (especially table tennis) and not on "my motion" at all. It says lay the controller flat on table for it to reset - also that you can re-centre it but I'm not sure how exactly. The kids love it and fight over the one motion plus so I'm forced to get another one. They've got the knack and say I'm the onethat's doing it wrong! ;-). I'm wondering whether to get them GrandSlam tennis?. Could yours just be a faulty motion plus perhaps?

when my controller goes on the fritz it's because it's by a window or mirror, or out of batteries, are you sure it isn't one of these?

what a load of tosh. these reviews aren't for the benefit of Nintendo - do you think they trawl through Amazon reviews?
it's for the benefits of other purchasers you plank
