Solid and protective, but on the big side,
This review is from: Case Logic QTS208K Sleeve for iPad Mini/ Kindle Fire Tablet (Personal Computers)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I tried this case with an iPad mini, which fits very well - I'm not sure how the dimensions of a Kindle Fire (presumably the 7" version) compare, but as it is advertised as compatible, I'm sure it will fit just fine.
The case is very solid - the pictures make it look like a soft pouch, but it is more of a hard shell case with a tough nylon outer. The tablet is held in securely by elastic straps at each corner, and the inside is lined with a soft microfibre, so your tablet won't get scratched.
The case is secured by a sturdy double zip, and the zip can be used to secure the front of the case behind the back, to allow you to use the tablet in the case without the front flapping about. Inside the front is a simple fold-out stand - cleverly, the side of this that faces the screen of the tablet while the case is shut is heavily padded to protect the screen.
In short, this is a well-designed case that provides a lot of protection - you could quite happily throw this case into your bag and not worry that your tablet would be damaged in transit. The downside is that it is pretty big - the case is around an inch and a quarter thick when shut, so the svelte lines of your tablet swell into a rather more substantial item to carry. The case probably doesn't need to be this thick, really - I was comfortably able to put the iPad mini itself, a Smart Cover and a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard into the case at the same time.
If you're looking for some serious protection for your iPad, this case is highly recommended - but if you want something slim and subtle, look elsewhere.
