Enjoyable Mystery Murders,

This review is from: Into the Shadows (Kennedy & Trentham Mystery Book 1) (Kindle Edition)
Forensic psychologist Jill Kennedy has been involved with the conviction of the prostitute 'Valentine' serial killer, Rodney Hill, who hangs himself and is later found not to be the murderer. Realising this, Jill departs to a Lancashire village, Kelton Bridge, to reflect on her life. Her idyllic residence, Lilac Cottage, is shaken by the cut-throat murder of Alice Trueman, wife of the parish reverend, Jonathan. They have a son Michael. DCI Max Trentham still has affectionate ties with Jill and is soon on the investigation with Jill taking charge, detached, as much as she can, from Trentham's romance and concentrating on fact.
This is an engaging detective crime novel. A relaxing and enjoyable read with suspects abundant all with motives, poor alibis and twists in the tale. I didn't cotton-on to the culprit until the end. Well-written by Shirley Wells in the Kennedy/Trentham series and recommended for readers who enjoy an excellent whodunit.
