This review is from: Conversations with Tom Petty (Paperback)
I agree with the last reviewer that the first half of the book is the more interesting, but i found it to be a fascinating read overall. It is so hard to find out any information on Tom Petty that I eagerly awaited this book and devoured it in days. The style is very easy to read and Tom Petty comes across as a genuine, nice guy. He talks about many aspects of his life and career that haven't been explored in great depth before, like the arson attack on him and the formation of the Wilburys. The latter sounded like immense fun by the way! Although I agree the 'songs' half of the book was a little stilted in style and mainly for the hardcore fans out there, it still gave an insight into Petty's mind at the time of writing and was worthwhile reading for that alone. A great read about a great man and band.
