1.0 out of 5 stars Review of watch, 12 Sep 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Stuhrling Original Winchester Terrace Mechanical Skeleton Men's Mechanical Watch with Silver Dial Analogue Display and Black Leather Strap 280.33152 (Watch)
The look and style of the watch was good, I liked the skeleton feature, however when it arrived I was very disappointed because it kept gaining about 3-5 seconds per minute. I had to keep checking and adjusting the watch by my mobile phone. I left it over night after setting it to the correct time by the BBC clock (accurate) and another watch. When I awoke the next morning and checked the time (after about 7 hours) it had gained over 20 minutes. This was not a time piece but a guess the time machine. I will NEVER buy another watch from this maker again. Poor time piece. NOT value for any money.

These use cheap crappy Chinese movements, the watch itself is made in Chine. They just gave it a German/Swiss/etc sounding name, and made up some outrageous RRP in order to sell them for much more than they are worth.
Disgraceful from Amazon, disgraceful...

I'm glad I read these comments. 7 mins of gain in a month, let alone overnight, would be simply unacceptable. On a similar note, I'd bought an Invicta watch from Amazon, which had a scratch around the date window. Amazon was happy to replace it, but on this one, the second hand would sit between the marks. I bought it for <£100, but for a watch with RRP of ~£350, one would expect quality movements and finish.

Sure this Stuhrling watch looks nice in the picture, I'd give it a pass. Would love to see similar designs (at similar price point) from some established brands.
