" The television will be revolutionised ",
This review is from: Storm Music "The Best Of" (Audio CD)
What an insightful man GSH was, poet rapper soul/jazz singer/songwriter and civil rights activist, but what you didn't know was that he was very keen on electrical gadgets, television being of particular interest, when visiting London he would often spend hours browsing in Rumbelows at the latest technology. You think back to the 60's & 70's television was a little wooden box with a small black & white screen and only two or three channels most of the day was taken up by a trade card test transmission, our neighbour used to put 5 penny pieces in his to make it work, moving a coat hanger aerial around the room until you got a decent picture, but good old Gill had a vision he knew what was round the corner, colour was on its way, remote control and now sky's the limit [literally] flat screens and 3D who knows what's coming next, unfortunately we will never know as poor old Gill is no longer with us but his enthusiasm for the old goggle box will always live on in his music.
