I'm sorry. I really wanted to like this tripod, honestly I did, but I just can't.

The fact that it broke the first time I opened it out didn't inspire confidence. I fixed that bit (for now) but even when it's set up it's still way too wobbly and inubstantial for an SLR and a big lens. You're forced to use the self-timer all the time, and to give a 10 second delay to allow the tripod to settle down and stop swaying around.

I've now done what I should have done in the first place and bought the excellent Giottos one.

This is probably okay for a compact as long as there are no strong breezes around, but that's about it.
Still, at least the bag is useful for my Giottos one!
